Things To Do & See
Crane Lake is filled with fun and excitement.
Weather you want to go boating, fishing, hiking, hunting, sledding or
sight seeing.
The Lakes: Crane Lake is joined to several
other lakes Sand Point, Namakan, Ash River, Kabetogama, Little
Vermilion, Loon and Lac La Croix. We are bordered around the Voyageurs
National Park, BWCA and Quetico Park.
Fishing: We have
several bays, rivers, rock reefs and miles of lakes to go and catch that
big one you dreamed of. Species: Bass, Walleye, Lake Trout, Crappie,
Northern Pike, and Lake Sturgeon
Boating: With
Endless areas to see, spend a day in the boat touring the lakes, take
along a picnic, water ski or tube, relax on the beach, take a relaxing
ride and see the historic Kettle Falls, Grassy bay offers spectacular
rock cliffs or you can go to Sandpoint Lake check into Customs on the
Canadian side do some shopping at the Sandpoint Store which offers some
unique gifts if you hungry ride over to the Sandpoint Lodge for a tasty
burger and milkshake, you can eat it there or take it to go and continue
on you journey traveling the Canadian Waters. Remember, you must check back into US Customs is located at
Scotts Seaplane Base. You must have proper ID to enter into either
Canada or US Customs.
Blueberry Season:
Usually begins at the end of July into August, we have the best picking
around, you can either go by car or by boat. Give us a call we will
tell you the when is the best picking. Take in consideration; weather
has a big part on when the blueberries ripen.
Fall Colors: What
a time of year to be out, the bugs are usually gone and it is quieter
time of year. Spend the day walking in the wood, boating or driving
around absorbing the beauty of Mother Nature at her finest, the colors
are breath taking.
Hunting: Grouse,
Deer, Bear or Moose we have it all up here. With endless acres of
public land you’re sure to find a place to get your trophy or limit. To

Winter: From your
Cabin or Motel room you can hook on to hundreds of miles of trails, run
the groomed trails on the lakes or through the woods, so if the snow
goes… the sledding continues to be good in best kept secret “CRANE
LAKE”. You can go anywhere by sled from Pine Ridge: casino, lodges,
restaurants or bars.
